Amy Frances Pedersen-Rabb, 48, recently of Evanston, IL, passed away at her home with loved ones by
her side on Valentine's Day, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Amy was born May 7, 1975,
in Joliet IL. To the late William Earl and Kathleen (nee Higgins) Pedersen.
Amy was the loving wife and mother to Steven and Jersie Rabb.

Amy is also survived by her mother; Kathleen, siblings; Eric (Pam Culhane), Ann, Christopher Pedersen, and Kaitlyn
(Daniel) McNally and her bonus sister; Aunt Jennifer (Michael) Otis. Amy was happy to welcome her
nephew Kellan McNally into this world in 2023.

She was also a special stepmother to Cheyenne and Emmy Rabb and Donata Barber and to her
grandchildren Ethan, Jacob, Elias, Ezra, Makenzie she was "GrAmy."

Also survived by her mother-in-law Carolyn (Micheal) Tornow and brother-in-law Lionel (Vesna Stelcer)
Rabb, sister-in-law Michelle Toler Alex and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Amy was preceded in death by her father William, her paternal grandparents, Earl, and Mary (nee
Valentich) Pedersen and maternal grandparents William B. and Frances (nee Jursinovic) Higgins; her Aunt
Maura (nee Keniley) Pedersen, and cousins; Jessica Grabowski, Tess Fisch, and Seth Jenkins.
Amy was a graduate of St. Mary Nativity School, Joliet Central High School, attended Joliet Junior College
and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Columbia College, Chicago.

She loved animals and adopted and rehomed several dogs and cats. Her cats Keeta and Pele and dogs
Lily and Loki have crossed the Rainbow Bridge and Amy leaves behind her bulldog, Jolene and cats,
Diego, and Basquiat.

Amy lived most recently in Evanston, IL, and previously in Skokie, Chicago, and Trenton, TN. In all these
places she made several friends; and during her long battle with cancer these amazing friends were
there to help. Especially want to thank her friend Kathleen, who helped Amy in innumerable ways. The
family is very thankful and touched by their kindness.

Amy was an incredibly talented artist and shared this passion 'of all things art' with her husband Steve.
She also loved to share this enthusiasm for art with her daughter, grandchildren, and friends. She gifted
many of her pieces of art to family and friends. She also loved to cook and bake, and her family and
friends would rave about her biscuits and gravy, cinnamon rolls, pizza, and other wonderful dishes. Amy
would often spend time with her sister and best friend Ann having fun trying new recipes.

Amy was a very important part of her family who will miss her care, love, quick wit and positive light.

Chaplain Nicole.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday March 23, 2024, at Bishop's Hill Winery in Joliet from 2-6 pm.
