Carson Scott Boom, 67, of Glenview, Illinois, passed away on September 13, 2025.

Born in Mason City, Iowa, Carson grew up in the Chicagoland area, where he built a life filled with family, laughter, and his favorite teams. A lifelong fan of Chicago sports, he faithfully cheered on the Bears, Cubs, Blackhawks, Sox, and Bulls. Carson was also well known for his love of barbecue and for making the best ribs—a gift he shared with friends and family at countless gatherings.

Carson is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Judy (Tegtmeier); his daughters, Cindy (Sean) Bieschke and Jeannie Boom; and his grandson, Carter, who brought him endless joy. He is also survived by his brother Steve (Carol) Boom; his sisters- and brothers-in-law Doris (Brian) Callos, John (Kirsten Lodarek) Tegtmeier, and Karen (Dan) Mosier; his cousin Sonya (Tom Hurd) Bernardino; and his 14 beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Merna Johnson; his grandparents, Orie and Anna Johnson; his sister, Cherry Voight; and his sister-in-law, Jayne Boom.

Carson will be remembered for his humor, his generosity, his devotion to his family, and the warmth he brought into every room. His legacy lives on through the love he gave and the memories he created.
