Taff
Oct 11, 1949 — Oct 24, 2022
Prospect Heights
Chuck Taff, 73, passed peacefully in his sleep on Monday October 24, 2022 due to complications of lewy body dementia. Born on October 11, 1949 in Chicago, IL, Chuck was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend.
Son of Walt and Jayne (Brew), Chuck was married for 43 years to his beloved Therese (Klinger). He was so proud of his 2 children, Sean ( Julie) and Heather Krasity (Ben) and three precious grandchildren, Ethan, Parker and Elliott. He grew up in a close family of 6 brothers and 1 sister: Walt, Mike, Pat, Jim, Maureen, Tom and Dan.
Chuck graduated from Mendel Catholic High School, De Paul University and Pepperdine University (MBA) He was a National Sales Manager for Kohler Products (Chicago) and Titon Industries (Atlanta,GA), then started his own Manufacturers Rep Agency; C Taff Sales, Inc. He developed long-lasting friendships with his co-workers and customers.
Chuck loved the outdoors and he loved adventures. He lived in Southern California for 11 years and traveled the entire West Coast in his beloved Lazy Daze RV. He loved running and completed 13 marathons, the last when he was 66. Some of his favorite adventures: when he got to be a cowboy and work a real cattle drive in Idaho; sailing through the Caribbean on a catamaran with dear friends; backpacking Cumberland Gap with his son Sean; spelunking and sleeping overnight in a cave in KY with his daughter Heather. And he had so many more adventures planned ….
Chuck was one-of-a-kind. Words could never do justice to the person he was. He will be greatly missed by many.
