Dagny Engle, 87, passed peacefully on January 2, 2023. Dagny was a beloved wife,
mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.

Daughter of Evert and Martha Nylen, Dagny was married to Art, the love of her life, for
66 years. Their marriage was a model of unconditional love, trust, and devotion.
Together they raised 3 sons who married wonderful women: Scott and Cindy
(Lanphere), Jeff and Terren (Rempe), and Mark and Lori (Walker). Dagny cherished her
family and truly loved her 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Dagny lived her faith at home, work, with friends, and in the community. She and Art
had many close friendships that lasted for decades, including friendships they
developed in a "Couples Club" they joined in the1960s at Glenview Community Church.
Dagny began her nurses training at age 18 and practiced nursing with excellence,
compassion and determination. She advanced nursing on a national platform serving as
the Executive Director of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses for 20 years. Dagny
and Art founded Association Management Center, a company which grew to become an
esteemed provider of services to nonprofit organizations.
Dagny loved to cook and bake. Many people will remember her Swedish Smorgasbords
and Almond Rings. She and Art also loved to travel, exploring the world together and
making new friends along the way.
Dagny's servant's heart overflowed in hospitality and love for her "neighbors," those who
lived on her block or around the country. She loved God and enjoyed the rich sounds of
the grand organ and choir in her church.
