Daniel D. Gore, 87, recently of South Elgin IL, joined his loving wife of 57 years, Judith (Kutsch) Gore (deceased 2016), in heaven on February 20, 2024. Loving father of Robin Appelhans, Matthew (Sally) Gore and Kristen (Craig) Christensen. Preceded in death by his son Mark (Kim) Gore. Grandfather of   Nick (Courtney) Gore, Sean (Katelyn) Gore, Blake Appelhans, MacKenzie Gore, Billy Gore, Charlie Gore, Jimmy Gore, David (Amanda) Christensen, and Jason Christensen. Great Grandfather of Emme, Caison, Ella, Brianna, Benjamin, and Charlotte.

Dan was a U.S. Marine veteran and VERY patriotic. He was a hardworking man who spent his career as a Tool and Die Maker. In addition to spending time with his family, Dan had many hobbies including model airplanes, stained glass lamps, photography, woodworking, and fishing to name a few. He was always tinkering in the garage on various projects, but woodworking was his passion. He made the most beautiful furniture that our family will pass down for generations and cherish forever.

A memorial visitation will be on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 10:30am until the time of the memorial service at 11:30am, with a light luncheon reception to follow at Calvary Lutheran Church, 535 N McLean Blvd, Elgin, IL 60123.
