James A. Tabel, age 76, of Mount Prospect, Illinois (formerly of Oak Park and Chicago)
passed away on November 18, 2023, after a brief illness. Beloved husband of Laura M.
Lowe. Loving father of Megan Tabel of San Francisco, CA, and Matthew Anderson
(Sarah) of Mount Prospect. Grandfather of Lily and Leah Anderson. Brother of Barbara
Erickson (Arthur). Uncle of Joyce Smith (Jason), Carl Erickson (Misty), David Erickson
(Melissa), Albert Rudnickas (Carol), Jeffrey Rudnickas (Maria), and Elisabeth McCray
(Andrew). Preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Lorraine Tabel.

Jim was an army veteran who served during the Vietnam war. Jim retired as a
respected senior manager from a major publishing company and worked
enthusiastically as a volunteer. Jim loved playing baseball and golf, was a lifelong Cubs
fan, and loved gardening, home improvements, and nurturing his family.

A celebration of life gathering was held.
