John Lawrence Chiappe, affectionately known as Jack to his friends and family, passed away on November 4th, 2023. His life was marked by fulfillment and the love of his family. Jack was the proud father of two children, Lauren (Bob) Terlecki and Renee (Josh) Dryden, and a cherished grandparent to two grandchildren, Andrew and Hayley. He also welcomed a step-grandchild, Brody, into his life and shared it with granddogs who brought him joy.
He was born to late Charles and Dorothea Chiappe. Jack's family included his sisters, the late Nancy (Ray) Nawrocki and Pamela (Dennis) Betti. Along with his nephews Jay, Danny, and Chad Nawrocki, as well as his nephews Brian, Keith and niece Katie Betti. Although he had an ex-wife, Loretta, he maintained a close and enduring friendship with her. His life was enriched by the love and companionship of his children and grandchildren.

Jack's journey through life was marked by his dedicated service in the Navy. Jack often referred to himself as "the traveling man" during his time working as a messenger.  Known for his warm and flirtatious personality, he had a knack for making people smile with his jokes and ever-present smile. His comedic spirit brought laughter and happiness to those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

In addition to the profound connections he cherished within his family and his captivating personality, Jack had a deep-rooted passion for Chicago's sports scene. He was a devoted fan of the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Bears, finding great joy in sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with his children.

To celebrate Jack's life, his daughters are planning a special gathering after the holidays, where family and friends can come together to remember and honor the legacy of a man who brought so much love and laughter into their lives.
