In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother!

Lottie S. Gerlach, 99, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025.

Born on August 22, 1925 in Chicago, IL; loving daughter to Justine and Walter Kos.

Lottie one of four children, grew up in a home filled with love and strong family values.

She was married to William J Gerlach for 49 years. They had many enjoyable years and memories while living in Chicago then Johnsburg, IL until he passed in 2007. Lottie is survived by her three children, William J Gerlach, Jr. (Simone), Patricia A Zaharakis (Michael Tiegs), and Carol Wnek. Her three grandchildren, Ashley Backman (Sean), Melanie Foley (Patrick) and Thomas Zaharakis, Jr. Also her five great grandchildren, Lily Walsh, Olivia Zaharakis, Macy Foley, Esme Backman, and Maxwell Foley.

Our caring Mother was preceded in death by her husband, William Gerlach, Sr., son in law, Anthony Wnek, and grandson, Matthew Gerlach.

She will be remembered for her kind spirit, her love of gardening and flowers, and countless memories she shared with all those who knew her.

Lottie's presence will be deeply missed, but her love, legacy and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
