Lynly Valle Jarvis died as peacefully as she was able, early on the evening of 3/2/24 with her husband (Peter B Schmidt), brother (Tyler Jarvis) and her dogs (Dekker, Nellie) at her side.
Lynly was preceded in death by parents Howard Jarvis Jr, Doris (Jacobsen) and brother Howard Jarvis III.
Lynly was a committed advocate for women and of women's rights and equality. She shared a unique and substantial character with her adored friends and colleagues. Her character, smart, competitive, determined and wit paved a path of excellence and respect throughout her careers in hospitality, banking and IT. A figure that remains in the stories of the many people whose lives she touched. Lynly pushed when needed or hugged so to better one another.
Lynly inherited a love of the Cubs from her grandmother and sports from her father. An avid fan of baseball, football and golf. Reading, mahjong, crosswords and her dogs where some other pursuits she enjoyed, along with a beverage here and there.
Degrees: BA American University (1972), MBA George Washington University (1980), MIS DePaul Chicago 2000.
Lynly shared a deep love and affection for her family, sister-in-laws Amy Luett and Leah Jarvis, nieces Madison and Ella and nephews Devon and Craig.
Including life long cousin Sandy Mackey (Jacobsen) & family.
Proud of each and every one.
