Maria Wiktoria Pryputniewicz

May 3, 1950-December 11, 2025

It is with profound sadness that the family of Maria Wiktoria Pryputniewicz announces her
peaceful passing on December 11, 2025 at the age of 75. A devoted wife, Maria is survived
by her loving husband, Marek; her two sons, Bart (Amie) and Paul (Anna); four beloved
grandchildren, Cole, Emerson, Ruby, and Rosie, as well as her two sisters, Jadwiga
Kolosowska and Veronica Johansson. Maria was preceded in death by her parents,
Kazimierz and Henryka Rutka, her brother, Ryszard Rutka, and her sister, Barbara
Wlodarczyk. Maria was always close with her siblings, despite long distances between
them.

An avid gardener and a lover of flowers, she cherished her time with family and loved
traveling with her husband. This April would've marked their 50th wedding anniversary. A
proud immigrant from Poland in 1988, Maria embarked on a journey of new customs in a
new culture, while preserving old traditions. She always made sure her family knew where
they came from, while encouraging new experiences to enrich their lives. Her house was
always open, and everyone was always welcomed by homemade meals, whether you were
hungry or not.

Maria truly showed her fighting spirit for the last several years, battling cancer with grit and
class. No one expected such a ferocious fight from such a tiny woman. She never balked at
what came next and never shied away from what she had to face. Her warrior spirit was a
true inspiration and it carried her through to the end. She will be missed always and
remembered forever.
