Patric Earl Brandenburg passed away, at the age of 71, on Saturday August 17, 2024 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL with family by his side.

Patric was born July 21, 1953. He resided in the Elgin area most of his life. He spent many years coaching and serving on the board for Streamwood Park District youth soccer. He enjoyed watching any Chicago sports team play and old westerns.

Patric worked for Absolute Vending company for many years but in recent years he spent his days at the South Elgin Super Target. He recently retired after 15 years of service and enjoyed all the friends he made there both co-workers and frequent guests.

He had the gift of gab and made friends easily whether through his story telling or jokes. He also enjoyed playing Santa at local events in the community.

Patric is survived by his children Chris (Anne) Brandenburg, Michael Brandenburg, Holly (Jeffery) Brandt and Eric (Stephanie) Brandenburg. His two sisters Denise (Lloyd) Holze and Teri (Carl) Nordquist. As well as many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Patric is preceeded in death by his mother Kathryn Wilson , father Leslie Brandenburg, older sister Patricia Greiner and younger sister Sheri LaBarge.

There will be a private family event to honor his life. Donations can be made to Toys for Tots to help spread Christmas cheer in his memory.
