Robert George Yanca, 80, passed away on April 25, 2023, surrounded by his family in Wauconda, Illinois. He was a loving and devoted father and grandfather.

Bob was born in Chicago, Illinois, on February 10, 1943 to the late Charles and Wilma Yanca. At a very young age, Bob's family moved to Antioch, Illinois, where he spent the majority of his life working and raising his family in addition to taking part in the community as a volunteer firefighter and member of the Lions Club. An avid hockey fan, Bob followed the Chicago Blackhawks and enjoyed sharing this passion with his family. He took the most pride in the growth and successes of his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his children Janie (Joe) Bonasera of Plainfield, Illinois, and Daniel (Amy) Yanca of Wauconda, Illinois. He is also survived by his grandchildren Ayla, Gabby, Alana and Joey. Robert is additionally survived by five brothers and three sisters and many nieces and nephews. He is remembered fondly by many of his children's friends as a "second dad" and confidant.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
