Rose Ann Cleaver 88, of Ingleside Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on September 17, 2024. She was born on December 4, 1935, in Logans Ferry, Pennsylvania. Rose, the daughter of Paul and Anna Kroffe, a dearly beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was well known for her strong and feisty spirit, bringing joy and laughter to all those around her.

Rose is survived by her brother Richard (Jennifer) Kroffe, sister Evelyn (Thomas) Halisky. Seven children: Matthew (Angela) Cleaver, Daniel (Shelia) Cleaver, Robert Cleaver, Michele Cleaver, Michael Cleaver, Rose (Harvey) Cleaver-Hileman, and Jeffrey Gambony. Grandchildren: Brian (Brandy) Cleaver, Kellie (Roger) Johnston, Jessica Cleaver, Tiffany Cleaver, Tanya Cleaver, Michael Cleaver, Matthew (Tara) Cleaver, Rebecca Cleaver, Alyssa Cleaver, Patrick Cleaver, Oscar Cleaver, Peter Cleaver, Millicent Tesch-Gambony, and Skyler Hileman. Great-grandchildren: Tyler, Austin, Dakota, Oaklyn, Ayden, Phoenix, Blake, Brooklyn, Christopher, Noah, and Lovelynn. She created precious memories that will live on in their hearts forever. She was preceded in death by her parents, cherished life partner Donald Gambony, two sisters; Francis Martin, and Margret Kroffe-Treich.

Rose Ann spent her childhood in New Jersey where family took precedence. The family gatherings were large and delightfully unforgettable, especially during the holiday season. Her gifts were noted to be thoughtful. Rose attended Clara Barton Elementary School and was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School. During Rose's young adulthood she liked to bowl. She found great enjoyment while bowling on a league.

Rose worked most recently at the Mobil gas station and convenience store in Hainsville. Her bold personality, warm smile and friendliness shined brightly. She had a passion for life. This was reflected in her favorite hobbies; making friends at the bingo hall, playing slots at the casino and enjoying scratch-off tickets. She often expressed her love for the simple things. Taking pleasure in cooking, you could always stop by her house anytime for a delicious meal. Her absolute favorite was to have the family together for the holidays.

Rose loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren. In her downtime she found joy in watching her favorite TV shows, The Golden Girls and Steve Harvey's Family Feud, as well as playing cards, or cuddling up to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks with her great-grandkids. Rose had an extremely generous heart. Often, she would declare "If I ever win big on the lottery, I will donate to St. Jude to help the children in need." Rose had a really special way of making everyone feel like they belonged.

Rose Ann, well known for her indomitable will and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed. Fondly, she will be remembered for the love, kindness, and warmth she brought into the lives of those who had the opportunity to know her.
