Stuart passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 16th, 2024.

Stuart was born on June 18th,1959, in Carshalton, Surrey, England to Katia and John Lawry.

Stuart attended Collingwood Boys Infant and Junior Schools in Wallington, and at age 11, went to King Edward's Boarding School in Godalming. He came to America at the age of 30 in 1989. Stuart met the love of his life, Carrie, at a mutual friend's wedding in 2002, and they married in October 2005. They have two wonderful sons that he absolutely adored. Austin was born in April 2007 and Hudson was born in July 2009.

His first job was for Motorcycle Weekly Magazine in England selling advertising space. They had prizes as a sales incentive, which they had to stop awarding, as Stuart won every one! He spent the rest of his career working in the association and trade show industry. In 2006, he joined the Smith Bucklin Sales Services Team. He felt very fulfilled during his tenure at Smith Bucklin, enjoying not only his responsibilities, but also the strong friendships and relationships he forged with his colleagues. He appreciated the support, encouragement, and love they continued to show him and his family throughout his illness. Stuart happily continued to work up until he entered hospice care. He truly found enjoyment in his work up until his last days.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Stuart was a man of diverse interests and passions. He never lost his love of motorcycles and cars, a love that has been passed on to his sons Austin and Hudson. Stuart even went motocross riding with his son Austin for several years. More recently, they spent time together working on their Audi. Stuart loved building Scalextric racetracks with Hudson in the basement, which the whole family enjoyed. They also had fun racing his RC car outside.

Stuart loved travel. He particularly delighted in lengthy beach holidays in the Dominican Republic and Mexico, where he would scuba dive with Carrie and snorkel with the boys.

Stuart was a sports fan, particularly of soccer. He was an ardent Crystal Palace Fan, following his team even when he came to America, never missing a game. He also loved "American football." He regularly watched NFL games, ran a football pool for many years, and played fantasy football.

Stuart took pleasure in watching movies, listening to music, and doing house and yard work with his boys. He also found joy tending to his plants, caring for his fish tanks and working on his Mac computer.

Stuart had a great sense of humor and loved a joke right up until the end. He was always full of optimistic energy and enjoyed life to the fullest, feeling he lived a blessed life. He was positive, courageous and full of fortitude when he received his cancer diagnosis. He showed unfailing strength of character during his cancer battle and still found excitement in living. He was outgoing, gregarious and had many friends and people who cared for him. He loved having friends around him, which was apparent even on the last day before he passed away.

He was an amazing husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, and colleague. Stuart was well-loved, and will be greatly missed for his warm personality, his wonderful sense of humor, his bubbling optimism, energy and excitement for life.

Stuart is survived by his beloved wife Carrie, his adored sons Austin and Hudson, his sister Paola and brother-in-law Colin, his brother Khalil, his father-in-law Dennis, his sisters and brothers-in-law Janet and Jerry, Laura, Deanna and Bob, and Dennis, his nieces and nephews Dave, Andrew, Yannick, Nikhil, Tommy, Drew, Nick, Kate, Jake, Annie, Brianna, and Bobby. He truly loved you with all his heart.  He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Katia Lawry, his mother-in-law Debbie Holm, and his brother-in-law Donnie.
