William Joseph Kovacs, 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025. He was born on February 4th 1949 in Chicago, IL.

He was the son of Helen and Paul Kovacs and youngest sibling to Paul, Mary, Ellen, and Phyllis Kovacs. William was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a great friend and favorite Uncle to many. He proudly served for the Chicago Police Department and U.S. Army Reserves. He is survived by his wife Catherine (nee Regan) Kovacs, children Aimee Kovacs Rabe, William Kovacs, and Christine Kovacs Lagattuta as well as his four grandchildren Quentin Rabe, Ava Kovacs, Joseph Lagattuta, and James Lagattuta.

He will be remembered with love. A memorial visitation will be held at St. Emily Church, 1400 E. Central Road, Mount Prospect, IL 60056 on May 22, 2025 from 9:30 to 10:30 am with a mass to follow at 10:30 am.
